Task 2 - LITERATURE REVIEW
I selected this task because it represented one of the most challenging moments in the course so far. After reading the feedback, I honestly felt discouraged because I realized that, although I had included many relevant sources and ideas, the literature review was still too descriptive and did not fully meet the expectations of academic research writing. It was difficult to see that the connections between authors, the identification of the research gap, and the rhetorical organization were not yet sufficiently developed.
However, this feedback became a very important learning opportunity. It helped me understand that writing a literature review is not simply summarizing sources, but critically connecting studies, identifying patterns, and building a clear argument that supports the research purpose. I also became more aware of several APA aspects that I had overlooked, especially regarding headings, in-text citations, reference formatting, and academic structure.
The virtual class we had the following day was especially helpful because it allowed me to review these APA conventions more carefully and clarify many doubts about academic writing organization. Through this process, I began to better understand the level of precision and analytical depth required in educational research writing.
Although the feedback was difficult to receive at first, this task ultimately helped me recognize important weaknesses in my writing and gave me clearer direction for improving future assignments and my final research proposal.
