Task 1 - Proposal writing (Week 2)

Task 1-PROPOSAL WRITING

I selected this task because it represented the first time I had to transform ideas that I had been informally developing since the summer into an actual research proposal. One of the greatest challenges was putting those thoughts into academic language and organizing them coherently into sections such as the research problem, objectives, and rationale. Although I already had a strong interest in multisensory strategies and vocabulary learning, I realized that having ideas is very different from expressing them clearly and precisely in a research format.

This assignment helped me understand the importance of narrowing the focus of a study and clearly identifying the specific research gap I wanted to address. The feedback I received was especially useful because it highlighted both strengths and areas for improvement. While the proposal showed a relevant and theoretically grounded topic, I also became aware that some parts of the problem statement were still too broad and that I needed to improve clarity, cohesion, and APA consistency in my writing.

Overall, this task marked an important starting point in my development as a researcher because it showed me how academic research requires not only good ideas but also precision, organization, and careful editing.
