This blog was created as a digital learning portfolio for the subject English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Throughout the course, it has functioned as a space to document my academic development, reflect on my learning process, and organize the different tasks completed during each unit.
The main focus of my research proposal is the use of multisensory strategies in English language teaching and their possible influence on students’ vocabulary acquisition and engagement in the classroom. This topic emerged from my personal interest in inclusive and meaningful teaching practices, especially in contexts where students benefit from visual, auditory, and kinesthetic support while learning a foreign language.
During the course, I progressively developed my understanding of educational research. At the beginning, I mainly focused on identifying a general topic of interest; however, through the different activities, readings, feedback sessions, and class discussions, I learned how to narrow a research problem, formulate research questions and objectives, integrate academic sources, and make methodological decisions more coherently.
This blog is organized into sections corresponding to the different course units. Each entry includes selected evidence of learning, such as assignments, drafts, and reflections explaining why those tasks were significant in my learning process. The portfolio also includes revised versions of my research proposal, which demonstrate the evolution of my academic writing and research design throughout the course.
